From the poetic metonyms of Virgil (Georgics, Aeneid) and Roman antiquity.

🌰 The Primeval Acorn (Chaonia glans)

In Virgil's Georgics (1.8), Ceres replaces the "Chaonian acorn" with rich ears of cultivated wheat. The Chaonian acorn embodies primordial purity and raw unworked nature — the Golden Age before labor and civilization.

🌳 The Sacred Oak (Chaonia quercus / silva)

Conflated with the archaic sanctuary of Dodona, the Chaonian oak symbolizes cosmic arboreal memory, ancient prophecy, and the voice of the cosmos speaking through the rustling leaves of ancient groves.

🏛️ The Exile's Haven (Chaonius Helenus)

In Virgil's Aeneid (Book 3), the Trojan prophet Helenus rules over Chaonia, building a "little Troy" in exile. Chaonius represents building eternal architecture out of memory and preserving fallen greatness into a thriving future.
